The mission of StageSmarts is to create and manufacture world-class power distribution for the media and events industry.
Founded in 2015 by Mats Karlsson and Erik Davidson, the company has since become the first choice for critical applications worldwide.
Our products are designed to last for decades under the toughest conditions and are engineered to handle the difficult loads and challenges of today’s events.
We’ve taken power distribution into the 21st century with added functionality, superior performance and the best possible safety and protection for both people and equipment.
It’s our belief that products and solutions should be designed for the purpose, using the best available technology and conforming to the toughest standards.
Not easy, not cheap but definitely the only way to bring safety, peace of mind and lasting value to our customers.

Our Story
So Far
2015
Founded
Mats Karlsson and Erik Davidson founds the company and starts development of a new breed of intelligent power distribution units.
2017
smartPDU at Prolight + Sound
The smartPDU intelligant power distribution unit premiered on the 2017 Prolight + Sound exhibition in Frankfurt.
2017
Plasa Innovation Award
The smartPDU were awarded the 2017 Plasa Innovation Award. “A well-engineered mains distribution unit that harbors many safety features for the modern show.”
2018
Expanding distribution networks
Stage Smarts expands it distribution network to many places around the globe. Australia, UK, Switzerland & Singapore to name a few.
2019
C24
The first of the C-series distros, the C24 are shown for the first time at Prolight + Sound. The first compact intelligent distro in the world.

C-quad & C-series
The C-qaud expands the C-series to a fully modular concept for power distribution enabling user to build setups that can expand with the company as it grows.

We moved to a new location in Arboga. More space and more suitable for are needs and as an added bonus right next to the river going thru the city center.
